Privacy, in plain words.
Your password archive
Deonte encrypts your password archive on your device before synchronizing it to a private CloudKit database in your Apple account. The encryption key is stored in your synchronized iCloud Keychain. Access is authenticated using Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
We do not operate a server that receives or stores your passwords, usernames, notes or encryption keys. Apple provides iCloud and iCloud Keychain under its own terms and privacy policy. Deonte cannot reset your archive key or recover an Apple account.
Website icons
Some service logos are bundled with the app. For other websites, Deonte requests an icon directly from the website domain you enter. That website receives the domain request, your IP address and ordinary connection metadata. Deonte does not include your saved username, password, notes, URL query or URL path in the icon request. Cookies are not retained.
Imports, backups and clipboard
Imports are processed on your device. Deonte backups contain an encrypted archive. Imported files from other managers may contain readable passwords. You control where files are saved and should remove readable exports after use. Passwords copied to the clipboard are marked for local use and expire automatically where the operating system supports it.
Analytics and advertising
Deonte contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Apple may provide aggregated App Store and crash information according to your device settings. The website uses no advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
This website
The website is hosted through Sites and Cloudflare. Hosting providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the website and operate its security. No password archive is uploaded to this website.
Support
If you email support, your email address and the content you choose to send are processed to respond. Do not send passwords, archive keys or readable exports. Support correspondence is not used for advertising.
Your choices
You can remove entries inside Deonte, export an encrypted backup and manage Deonte’s iCloud data through your Apple account settings. Deleting an app does not necessarily delete its iCloud data or synchronized Keychain items. Deleting cloud data or encryption keys may prevent recovery. Removing an entry from your current archive does not erase it from previous encrypted backups or safety copies retained during migration or synchronization conflicts.
